WTFM, ToWC, RR, Cat3, hot. too hott for me, power chart enclosed.
You can see where I got dropped. Everytime up the hill, my power was less than the first lap, until I just cracked.
This is what the heat does to me when the pace is too much. Poorly hydrated.
Of note, I used ZERO supplements- what a mistake.

ReplyDeletea lot of people cramped on the end of the last lap. I cramped and it was the first time that ever happened. I thought 2 bottles were enough for 36 miles, but I think it was too hot. Also one of my bottles was warm cytomax and it made me want to puke each time I drank from it at the end of the race. Next year, will arrange for some feeds with more water and less cytomax.

ReplyDeleteI made a mistake of taking 6 e caps before the race and i was sick as hell the whole weekend,tore my gut up.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a new product that is for hydrating BEFORE THE RACE. Also, I got a "HEAT FORMULA" from the same people for during hte race, I'll post when I get it. (Inifinit nutrition; really popular with mountain bikers apparently).
